Shemot Parsha Craft | Moses in the Nile River Diorama and Puppets

These are glorified coloring pages, making them doable for any age group. They feature a diorama background in two sizes, loads of reeds and papyrus to glue on, full instructions and craft guide, a 3D basket to craft with a baby Moshe, and 3 more puppet characters to glue on or turn into puppets.

There are so many elements to this craft – stick to only one part (like the baby in the basket) or do the whole thing.
All crafts are coloring pages/uncolored – colored-in parts are just to showcase the craft better.

All my crafts are based on the accepted Orthodox Jewish understanding of the events (to the best of my ability).

Print then cut
Your download also includes PNG images of the elements and characters only (it’s not worth doing that with the scene) with transparent backgrounds around the circle, and right within. These can be used with Cricut’s “print then cut” feature.

Parts Included

• 4-page large size diorama background to assemble – great for larger class projects or teaching tools.
• Single page background for easier assembly – great for take-home projects.
•  4 characters: baby Moshe (Moses), Batya (Pharaoh’s daughter who rescued Moshe), Miriam (his sister who watched over him), Yocheved (his mother)
• A basket template
• 7 grass and reeds with rocks to glue on.

Note: all elements come in one size and will fill the single page diorama more. You can print multiples of the parts you need.

This is the COLOR-IN version. Any colors showcased on the images is a sample craft.
This makes for a great teaching tool for Parshat Shemot or any time you’re discussing Moses in the nile river.
