Description

It’s perfect for teaching the Parsha torah portion to preschool, elementary, and older students or for any time you want to teach about the details of what the priests wore.

This is a color & Craft project (nothing is colored- see second image for preview) for kids to really learn about it in a hands-on way. It’s a bit more complex, although I do offer tips for simplifying the craft in the included printable instructions. Layering on a paper doll is a bit challenging and I offer tips to minimize this. Garments are also designed to be put on how the priests wore them.

My goal was to provide something that is still playful like my other crafts but is as historically accurate as possible. I used reference images from multiple sources (including, of course, the original text), however, please be aware that I am not a historian or biblical expert – I’m an illustrator.

All my crafts are based on the accepted Orthodox Jewish understanding of the events (to the best of my ability).

How to use the Parshat Tetzaveh craft
Print on cardstock or paper, color, cut out. Glue the head so that the beard lifts up. Glue on garments, or use the tabs to assemble it – or both!

You get:

  • A 4-page PDF file with the images ready to print
  • A ZIP folder with PNG images so that you can resize, format differently, or use Cricut’s Print then Cut feature.
  • An instructions, explanations, and variations printable.

This is the COLOR-IN version. Any colors showcased on the images is a sample craft.
This makes for a great teaching tool for Parshat Tetzaveh or any time you’re discussing the Mishkan, Beit Hamikdash, the service of the Kohanim.

Note: I treat my art like art! That means that you may see some imperfections as would be expected in anything hand-drawn. I hope you can love and appreciate it like I do!
